Yesterday, Malissa gave me a suggestion of a blog topic...so I took her suggestion:
When Elijah was born a girl at daycare, Isabella, had just had a baby brother also and his name is Briar. She was curious about what Elijah's name was when he was born. For weeks, she kept talking about something and no one really knew what she was talking about. Finally, they realized that she thought Elijah's name was "Enchilada". Needless to say, ever since then, Elijah continues to be called Enchilada on occasion at the Kountry Kids!
Brent's nickname at work and with his friends is "Crottsy". Mr. Terry, Nolan's before and after school teacher at Kountry Kids, is in the fire department with Brent. Several months ago, he began calling Nolan "Crottsy". Now all the kids at Kountry Kids call him "Crottsy" and Nolan loves it. He likes having the same nickname as his daddy.
By the way, I've never mentioned what a blessing Kountry Kids has been, and continues to be, to us. Our boys LOVE to be there. They frequently get mad if we show up to pick them up very early and Nolan is always telling Brent specifically what time to pick them up so that he doesn't miss some sport or activity that they are going to do. Elijah loves his teacher, Mrs. Amber Dill. He is also quite fond of her daughter Caroline. Amber tells me that they tell each other "I love you" all the time! And I really shouldn't mention Amber without saying that she is primarily responsible for Elijah's transition to using the potty. He still says "Mrs. Amber's going to be happy" when he uses the potty!
It is so nice and comforting to know that your kids are happy and being taken care of so well while you are away. Thank you Pam and Terry and all the teachers at Kountry Kids.
