You probably noticed that I added a new ticker to my growing list! I just love these things. (My boys like to look at them too.)
I couldn't sleep last night (thank you new medicine!) and begin to think that I should use my blog as a way for some accountability with my weight/fitness goals. I cannot spend money joining a group such as Weight Watchers just for the accountability but I need someone to hold me accountable or at least a plan and goals to get me moving to action. So, this is what I came up with...I made this ticker so that I could update my progress weekly or so. Hopefully, this will be incentive enough for me to get moving! You would think that running around with these 2 boys and with all of the walking I do each day at work, losing weight wouldn't be a problem, but I have weighed the same that I do now ever since Elijah was 6 months old and I am tired of it!!
My plan is to ride my bike, walk during my lunch break, add more steps in my day, and reduce the "junk" food. I have been evaluating my food patterns (as all good dietitians should!) and I make relatively healthy choices each day but my problems are 1 - portion size and 2 - DESSERT! So, here goes nothing! If I did this the right way I ought to be able to lose 20 pounds in 10-20 weeks. I'll keep you posted!
