** So far this month's plan is just not working so well. We keep changing things around. Next month I think I will come up with the meals but not set dates for each one. That way there is room for flexibility. For example, last night I was prepared to make pork chops but Brent was in the mood for the salmon patties so I changed that around. Saturday and Sunday we ended up eating elsewhere, so those meals weren't done. Well, it is a work in progress, I guess. The good news is that I've saved money on food this month when compared to last month by 27% if we don't go over our eating out budget! The red text below is what I've already changed for the monthly menu and it's only the 11th!
Original post: Here's the meal plan for this month: I'm sure things will get changed around and I probably won't make every one of these by end of February but it's the plan! Brent and I are trying to lose some weight by eating healthier and exercising more. We are going to be packing our lunches now so it sounds like we are going to have some yummy leftovers!! I also want to fit taco soup and chicken pie in there sometime...hmmm. I am thinking of copying my friend Mindy and creating a blog to put recipes on. Would anyone be interested? If no one is going to look at it but me then I'm not going to take the time to do it, but if I think someone else might care, then I will do it. What is your opinion?
Feb 5 - baked ziti, toast, salad
Feb 6 - chicken soft tacos

Feb 9 - salmon patties, cous cous, green peas
Feb 11 - pork chops, rice, green beans
Feb 12 - lasagna, salad, rolls
Feb 13 - taco bake, green beans, corn
Feb 14 lunch - chicken cheese quesadillas, salad
Feb 15 - quiche, sausage, biscuits
Feb 16 - cheesy chicken spaghetti, carrots
Feb 17 - pork chops with gravy, mashed potatoes, cream corn
Feb 19 - white chicken chili, cornbread
Feb 20 - potato and beef pie, squash
Feb 21 - stir- fry, rice
Feb 23 - chicken and dumplings, peas and carrots
Feb 24 - pork tenderloin, cous cous, green beans
Feb 25 - chili mac, cornbread, salad
Feb 27 - leftovers
Feb 28 - pancakes, eggs, sausage

I would be interested and I will say that if I make a meal or a dish and someone wants the recipe it is great to just say it is on my blog. Especially with family who know about it anyway. AND, when I am away (like at my family's house or something) and want a recipe it is really nice to have it online.
I would love to get more of your recipes!!!
