Mariah Grace Crotts 3 months old

Today is Mariah's 3 month old birthday. Tomorrow I go back to work. I'm so happy that I've gotten to spend the last 3 months with my baby girl. I love her so much and I am so torn to have to leave her to go back to work. I know it will be fine and they will take great care of her...but it's going to be a tough day just the same.

Mariah is showing such a great personality these days. She gives the cutest grins and her daddy can make her laugh out loud. She "talks" a lot and I can tell she's going to be very social because she doesn't like it when she is in the room alone. She absolutely loves the boys and loves to watch them while they are playing. Nolan is very good with her and loves to help care for her. Elijah loves her to death and has nicknamed her "girly pie" which I think is adorable. She loves to look at ceiling fans and she must have missed them while we were camping at the beach last week because when we got home she couldn't take her eyes of off them. She is getting better at holding her head up but can't sit in the Bumbo seat very long yet. She is sleeping through the night...she goes to bed between 9-10 and wakes up around 6:30 -7 usually. A lot of times she goes right back to sleep after the first feeding session and sleeps another 1-2 hours. Tomorrow morning she will have to get up at 6 am in order for me to have time to feed her before work. It's a shame I will have to wake her up from her long slumber. I am so thankful to have such a good sleeper! She still needs to eat about every 3 hours and I'm able to provide most of her milk but have to use some formula, which is fine with me.

She didn't have too great a time at the beach last week because it was SO very hot but she did well. She slept good in the camper and was able to sleep through the night without being awakened by any of us being in such close proximity. And, she didn't wake the whole family up in the morning either. I took her down to the beach two different evenings and took her to the pool once which she seemed to love. I didn't keep her out in the sun too much because it just didn't seem worth all the trouble. I do have a picture of her in her cute bathing suit in the pool though which I will post soon along with all the other pictures that I have.

I better get to bed for now...5 am will come early for me and I haven't been up that early since the day she was born!! (at least not without being able to go back to bed!)
