Me...Relax? Are you kidding?

Beginning this past Sunday I am on a new crusade to limit my activity so that I'm not always overdoing it. It is certainly my tendency in life to be busy every minute. You just don't usually find me sitting around - unless I'm doing something with one of the kids, folding laundry, etc. (I still consider those things "being busy".) So, it all started when I was SO exhausted and my asthma was out of control on Sunday. I stayed home all day and tried to do NOTHING. I slept several times. Sat and worked on my BabiesRUs registry and played the WII with the kids for awhile.

On Monday night I came home and we had a quick supper and then I shut myself in the bathroom to take a bubble bath in my new WONDERFUL jacuzzi. I had this big plan to read, scrub my feet, shave my legs, etc. It started off a little crazy because I just poured a generous amount into the water. I finally got enough water in to start the jets. As soon as I started the jets, I started reading my book and was in my own little world until I saw something in my peripheral vision. It was bubbles quickly rising over the edge of the tub and higher than my head!! I turned the jets off and went back to reading after getting a good laugh at myself!!

On Tuesday I had an unexpected event - Mom decided to take the boys home with her since it was Brent's night to work. She has been graciously helping me with the kids on Brent's workday morning because it is really difficult to get them to daycare and me to work by 7am. So, I had the house to myself and I parked myself in the recliner.

On Wednesday I had made an appointment to get my hair done so that was a treat to me

Today I went and got the pedicure that Kevin and Kim purchased for me for my birthday. It was well needed and a good restful experience. Now, I'm also sitting in the recliner as do this instead of keeping myself busy doing "stuff" all evening.

I have so much to do with having just moved into this new house and to get ready for the baby girl to arrive but I'm trying so hard to just chill out and not worry so much about getting every single thing done in the evenings. Saturday will be the real test for me because I try to cram so much in while I'm home.

(I realize this is pretty much a boring post but I'm trying to get some things about this pregnancy down for Mariah to have to read as she grows up.)

Glad to hear you're getting some relaxing in. Very important while pregnant!

Salem has finally outgrown the bassinet so it's ready for you. I also have some of your maternity clothes and some others for you to borrow if you'd like.

We've been going nonstop too - Chuck was sick one day this week and now it's my turn - I didn't go to work today. But I'm really hoping that we can come bring you the bassinet, clothes, and dinner sometime soon. Miss you!
