What's going on?

We have been very busy this week so I have not had time to sit down and think until I came up with something to write and I haven't had a "this has to be on my blog" moment this week.

Nolan is continuing to play baseball on Saturdays and is showing improvement.

Nolan is patiently waiting until his new glasses arrive since he LOST his original pair.

Nolan is anxious to get in our pool and swim. It is almost ready and the weather will soon be perfect for lazy days in the pool.

Nolan says there are 15 days of school left.

Nolan is excited to get to be at Kountry Kids all day this summer so that he can play with his friends.

Elijah is loving the sandbox and playing with his diggers.

Elijah is getting tall!!

Elijah is excited about his "building house" (this is what he calls his room in our new house that we are getting ready to start building).

Elijah is full of energy and does some of the funniest things these days! He's at that age that I just love.

Elijah wants to go back to Boone to go camping. Grandma told him if he is good for a long time then they will take him. He also wants to go to Tweetsie Railroad when in Boone.

Elijah loves to go to Kountry Kids to see Mrs. Amber (his teacher) and her daughter Caroline (a classmate). This week Mrs. Amber said that Caroline sat down in a seat not beside of him and she said that Elijah said, "Caroline, don't you want to sit beside of me? I love you." She is his best friend right now.

Daddy is excited about the start of building of our house this week. We close on our construction loan this Wednesday and my dad should dig the basement this week. In a couple of weeks it should be framed!

Daddy is looking forward to going to the beach at Ocean Lakes in a few weeks.

Daddy is enjoying the springtime weather. He especially loves to sit outside under our pin oak tree and he is sad that we will likely lose this tree with the building process.

Daddy is thinking about selling his 91' Toyota truck. Anyone interested? It needs some work but lots of people have wanted to buy it in the past.

Mommy is enjoying her new job. It is a busy job but I am doing what I love - nutrition and working with the geriatric population.

Mommy is loving spending time with the boys. I am finally getting settled in to not being in school and to not having to think about work when I get home so I am able to really appreciate and enjoy the time that I spend with the boys. Nolan and I play Mad Gab last night. He is really good at this game.

Mommy is excited about building a house. I have picked out the kitchen appliances and we have talked to someone about designing and building our kitchen cabinets. I have picked out the paint colors with the help of Brent's mom. I am in the process of deciding about the bathroom cabinets. I want to go to Furniture Distributors soon to pick out hardwood, carpet, and tile. Doing these things is helping us determine some of our budget. I've also been looking at furniture to get an idea of what I want for the new house. We are going to "need" some furniture for each of the boys' rooms, some living room furniture, a dining room table, and some furniture for the master bedroom.

Mommy bought some things for the new house this weekend. Since I have a pretty clear idea of what I want the living room to look like I was able to pick out some things for the mantel that were on sale at Kirkland's yesterday. Fun, fun... I also bought a night stand for a steal at the Habitat for Humanity store that will match my antique furniture that will go in the extra bedroom.

Mommy is looking forward to going to the beach - it will also be mine and Brent's 10th wedding anniversary!! We have had 10 great years of marriage together.
