So, hopefully, by now you've had time to put the following in the order you would take care of them if they were all happening at the same time.
It turns out that this little exercise is a good way to evaluate your value system (according to the speaker that I heard it from)
If you put "baby crying" as the first thing you would take care of, then your 1st priority is FAMILY.
Wherever you put "telephone rings" in your rankings, that's the order that you put JOB in.
The "doorbell ringing" stands for the value system of INNER CIRCLE FRIENDS.
Those of you that ranked "kitchen sink water running" high on your list place high importance on MONEY in your value system.
Finally, if you thought you'd deal with the "laundry outside in a pouring rain" first then you highly value SEX and ROMANCE. (There were 2 ways that he put this I can't remember what he said about those who put it very high on the list but I did jot down in my notes that if it was low on your list you could apply it as "when things at the top of the list are working, then this becomes more meaningful".
