The dumpster was delivered. The mortar, sand, and some block were delivered.
A skid steer arrived - much to Elijah's delight.
Then, finally, on Tuesday it was dry enough for the basement to be started.
This is the front right corner of the house. This rounded part will be the eating area and the kitchen will be behind it.
Nolan enjoyed the scaffolding!

Wow, it is so great that you have visible progress on the house. It must be so encouraging and fun to be able to take pictures and see everything happening step by step!
Also I've been meaning to get some books to you that I found when I was cleaning the house - they are idea books for picking out different things for new houses. I thought you might want to look through them instead of me just throwing them away - might give you some ideas on things you haven't decided yet.
Oh, and I wanted to check with you to see if you have any good books I could borrow to use while breastfeeding. Salem is quite the eater and I have lots of "down" time where I could be reading. That's so unusual, so I wanted to take advantage of it! Just let me know.
